About the role
ESPA are recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker to join their team supporting four men within a supported living and outreach service.
The successful candidate will be primarily based in Fordley (NE23), with infrequent support provided in Tynemouth (NE30). This is a hands-on role with additional responsibility, supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day leadership, supervision, and service delivery.
Applicants must have experience supporting adults with autism and complex needs, with a strong understanding of positive behaviour support and the ability to model best practice at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support
- Support and supervise staff, modelling best practice
- Promote positive behaviour support approaches
- Deputise for the Team Leader when required
- Participate in senior on-call cover
- Support service delivery in line with CQC standards
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the people supported
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience supporting adults with autism and complex needs
- Have experience supervising or leading staff
- Are confident managing challenging situations and conflict
- Are compassionate, mature, and a positive role model
- Have good verbal, written, and IT skills
- Can work flexibly to meet service needs
- Hold a relevant qualification or are willing to work towards one
- Hold a driving licence (desirable but not essential)
