Skills for Care

To help adult social care staff enhance their knowledge and confidence in using digital technology, Skills for Care was commissioned by the NHS Transformation Directorate to create a suite of free ‘bitesize’ digital skills eLearning modules, aligned with the Digital Skills Framework, providing insight into how digital tools are utilised within the sector.

Digital Care Hub Workshops

In the rapidly evolving landscape of social care, digital webinars have become indispensable channels for sharing insights, best practices, and innovative approaches. Take a look at some of the upcoming and insightful digital webinars with the aim of expanding your knowledge and understanding of technology in the deliver of care.

Digital Care Hub e-Learning

Digital Care Hub want to ensure care workers know to protect the data collected within digital systems, they have developed free e-learning and in-person training materials for all care providers to use. These training materials support staff with their data protection and cyber security skills, they have also collated information about other relevant training materials.

Digital Skills Framework

Develop your team’s digital skills and find relevant training, the Adult Social Care Digital Skills Framework is a resource to help people working in adult social care understand and develop the digital skills they need. The Digitising Social Care programme developed the framework in response to NHS England’s technology and digital skills review.

Learn My Way

The Good Things Foundation have a free online platform that helps people gain basic digital skills and build confidence in using the internet. They are the UK’s leading digital inclusion charity, and are on a mission to help everyone become digitally equal, so that they can be happier, healthier and better off. Learn My Way has free learning for you to gain digital skills to stay safe and connected.
